Dr. Ana Adams
Although I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama, as a teenager my family moved to Argentina (both my parents are natives) in 1981 where I finished high school, attended college and received my DVM from the National University of Buenos Aires. After vet school I returned to the US for grad school at Auburn, where I specialized in theriogenology (the study of animal reproduction). I became a diplomate of the American College of Theriogenology in 1994. I opened Hamby Road Animal Hospital in 1997 and have really enjoyed practicing in the area. I have made so many good friends over the years through the clinic, and always say, if I weren't the boss I'd probably be fired because I enjoy talking to you all so much when I see you at the clinic that sometimes I get myself in trouble!! ;) My husband, Jeff, and I have 5 children, the newest addition being Adriana, our sweet daughter that we adopted last summer from Colombia!! Dr. Pam Sullivan
While Dr. Pam has her roots in South Florida, she has been a Georgia resident since 1988. She went to the University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree, later graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine with her DVM. She and her husband, John, have two beautiful children, Lauren and Patrick. Dr. Pam loves being able to treat and help out animals.
Dr. Jan Laketa
Originally from the Chicago area, Dr Jan obtained her BA in Apparel Technology at Purdue University. She returned to school at Auburn University and received her DVM from the College of Veterinary Medicine. A former practice owner, she sold her practice 7 years ago and started working part time at Hamby so as to spend more time with her children. She enjoys internal medicine and reconstructive skin sugery. In her spare time she loves to garden, cook, and read. She is married to Dr David Shepherd, also a veterinarian, and they have 2 children, Morgan and Quinn.
Dr. Carole Amos
Dr. Carole is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. She attended University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree then worked as a stockbroker for twelve years. She then decided to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a veterinarian and returned to University of Georgia to obtain her DVM degree. She has shown and bred dogs for ten years and has an interest in canine reproduction. She and her husband, Bob, have one beautiful daughter, Allie. In her spare time Dr. Carole loves showing her dogs, playing tennis, scrapbooking and spending time with her family.
